I am João Vítor Chaves Avila (he/him), a 16 years old born in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Since I was 10, I have been programming games and applications and got multiple awards, not just related to computer science, but also with my academics.
I love reading about subjects other than computer science, such as math, physics, astronomy, economics and geopolitics.
In January of 2022, I moved from Brazil to Houston, Texas, where I joined The Village High School

During the beginning of the pandemic, the programming school that I studied in decided to do a Game Jam, with the pandemic as the main focus. In this game jam, I had the best 3D game, and was also able to create 3D models.
A showcase where the students of Techers showcased the projects they worked on throughout the semester, with awards given to students that had: the best overall project and presentation; the best presentation; the most autonomous student on the development of the project; and the most creative project.
